Elon Musk will build the Starlink space internet for free. SpaceX got a billion dollars The billionaire and his team are building a constellation of the cosmic internet that will enable fast and safe communication. The US government has just supported the project with a billion dollars.

SpaceX now has close to 1,000 microsatellites of the cosmic internet called Starlink in space. Thanks to it, it will connect the most wild areas of our beautiful planet and without telecommunications infrastructure. It is a historical project that will be an introduction to ensuring faster information exchange between the Earth and the Moon and Mars and the colonies built there.

For now, however, all the attention of Elon Musk and his people is focused on the Earth, and more precisely on the United States. It may seem strange, but in this country, there are tens of thousands of companies that do not have permanent access to the global network. Not to mention how large a proportion of citizens are. Thanks to SpaceX microsatellites, their development will significantly accelerate and this will also translate into the GDP of the country suffering from the coronavirus pandemic.

SpaceX can, however, not only change the unrecognizable interaction of millions of people with the treasury of knowledge that is the Internet, but now we know that it will build its system completely for free and earn a lot on it. In October, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announced a competition to provide access to the network for 6 million US households. The government offered up to $ 9 billion to electrify the country's most sparsely populated areas.

Elon Musk's company has easily collected a allaboutmovies of this huge sum, nearly a billion dollars, and will soon receive a few more billion from the army that intends to use Starlink for its needs. The FCC requirements are not excessive, as 25 Mbps for downloading and 3 Mbps for uploading is more than enough. Meanwhile, Starlink already offers a download with an average speed of 100 Mb / s (max 180 Mb / s) and upload speed of 25 Mb / s (max 35 Mb / s), all with ping at 30 ms. Musk assures that it will be much better soon.

There is currently a 1,000 microsatellites field in orbit. SpaceX plans that by 2023 there will be 4,400 of them, and ultimately there will be over 20,000. The constellation achieved its basic operational capability in November, so SpaceX should begin commercial sales of its services in the United States and Canada at the beginning of next year, and around the planet in the following years.
